Drawing Per Day Inktober First Two Thousand Fourteen

For the past year I've been using charcol on newsprint - tonight I decided I'd try a different paper, a bright white sketch paper. Turns out the charcol I had been using behaves completely different on this surface. So I tried using graphite instead. Yuck was my first reaction, every mark I made felt uncomfortable and embarrassing. I stuck with it and started getting used to it as I loosened up. I like this drawing. I plan on using these materials: graphic and the white sketch pad paper until I have a sense of accomplishment. Just an FYI
